The engineering challenge
Race teams need useful information while cars are moving, not after the session. The system had to collect vehicle and driver signals across multiple cars and keep engineers informed in a demanding trackside environment.
What ELG engineered
ELG integrated data acquisition, embedded processing, connectivity, and monitoring dashboards into a trackside system used during Toyota racing operations. The field work included installation, configuration, and live engineering support.
Why it matters to your business
This is the same full-stack pattern needed for any fleet of high-value machines: reliable capture at the edge, resilient communications, and one interface for immediate operational decisions.
System architecture
Overview, layer by layer.
Overview only — per-client internals stay under NDA.
- 01
Physical & Sensors
Vehicle interfaces and sensors capture race-car and driver signals.
- 02
Firmware & Real-Time OS
Time-aligned acquisition keeps live measurements coherent.
- 03
Embedded Linux & Edge Logic
Local diagnostics and buffering support trackside operation.
- 04
Cloud Ingestion & Analytics
Session data is transported and organized for live and post-race review.
- 05
Mission Control & HMI
Dashboards give engineers a clear multi-car operational view.
