The engineering challenge
Emission rules only work if violations can be proven in the moment. PT Racing needed per-truck black-smoke data, tied to GPS position, streamed live to officials — from hardware that survives exhaust heat, soot, and race vibration.
What ELG engineered
ELG developed a black-smoke detector with an integrated GPS module and a real-time dashboard feed. Officials watch live per-vehicle emissions during the race and can issue penalties backed by timestamped, position-linked evidence rather than post-race disputes.
Why it matters to your business
Regulatory sensing in harsh conditions is the same problem whether the vehicle is a race truck or an industrial fleet asset. This project proves ELG can deliver evidence-grade environmental telemetry where it counts.
